Hey Brides!
Are you a fan of Wine Country? Do you love Temecula as much as we do? If you have never been to the Mount Palomar Winery in Temecula we highly encourage you to visit when you get the chance! There’s something so sweet about winery weddings and we’re not talking about the wine! 😉 You can’t go wrong with choosing a winery for your wedding venue. From the fresh air, to the beautiful landscape, the endless rows of grape vines and that warm California sunshine, Temecula weddings do not disappoint. The wedding flowers featured in this romantic wedding celebration were fresh, fragrant and so fun to work with!
Dive in with us this week as we talk all about the flowers designed for this romantic venue that really enhanced this magical day of love!
Wedding Venue Magic
The Mount Palomar Winery is set in the heart of Southern California’s famous Wine Country located in Temecula. This winery in particular prides itself on creating quality blends in its ideal location in the rolling hills. Mount Palomar is set on 55 acres of land with a gorgeous view of the mountain range called Palomar. Perfect for a wedding day ceremony & reception this venue is truly magical!
The walkway leading up to the ceremony aisle is filled with rustic Italian vibes as it is comprised of vines, draping greenery and great big green foliage from the bushes. This helped to tie in the components of lush greenery we used when we worked to create the wedding archway. The tall white pillars at the ceremony stage helped to provide a clean base that we built the draping eucalyptus overhang upon. The top of the wedding arch was filled with variations of blush vendela roses, mauve lavender amnesia roses, cool water roses and draping silver dollar eucalyptus! Between the white pillar backdrop, the lush greenery from the eucalyptus and the pops of blush and burgundy throughout, this wedding arch really came to life and helped set the perfect stage!
Bridal Party Bliss
Bridal Bouquets are so important to us but that doesn’t mean the rest of the bridal party’s wedding florals are forgotten or any less significant. From the flower crowns to the corsages, the boutonnieres to the bridesmaid bouquets, each play its own unique and special role! The flower crowns created for the flower girls for this wedding were dainty, light and airy. So feminine and dreamy! We used huckleberry as a nice sturdy base where we then laid pink wax flower, lilac and blush majolica spray roses all throughout. Finished with cream silk ribbons, these flower crowns were the perfect little addition to the flower girl ensembles!
It’s so fun to create the bridesmaids bouquets as they serve as a little glimpse into all of the magic that is the bridal bouquet. For the bridesmaids bouquets we worked to create a lush green base and then filled in the rest with a mix of both vibrant and muted pops of color. This floral color palette featured romantic shades of blush, burgundy, and mauve lavender accented with shades of navy and white from the stunning anemone. You’ll notice the white anemone flowers featured are a statement piece all on their own! These bouquets delivered class, elegance and more! So beautiful!
Bridal Bouquet Recipe
As floral designers, we geek out over the design principles that are used when we create our bridal bouquets. Though design principles are fundamental and important, we work to incorporate freedom and creativity into each and everyone of our designs! This bouquet style is what is known as a hand tied bouquet. These bouquets have become quite popular over the years! Hand tied bouquets are special and are built using the technique of adding in a bloom one by one. The end result and shape of these bouquets form into an almost spherical style that pairs nicely with many different gown silhouettes. This bridal bouquet in particular really helped to bring this bridal ensemble together! Just take a look at our bride! She is simply glowing!
We love being able to share floral education with you as it is helpful to have a bit of bloom knowledge prior to meeting with your floral designer. Take a look at the list of blooms used in this romantic bridal bouquet and familiarize yourself with the names!
