HOW TO RESEARCH WEDDING FLOWERS AND FLORISTS USING PINTEREST

Pinterest is an online research hub that offers virtual mood boards and information on various topics. This research hub is perfect for wedding planning as it offers topics like budgeting a wedding, researching current trends, planning out your color palette, and even finding your dream wedding flowers and florists. We encourage you to take advantage of its many benefits!

You can start by searching the Pinterest platform using relevant keywords tied to the wedding aesthetic.

For example, if the wedding is taking place in Southern California, be keyword specific and search “Southern California Wedding Florists”.

Let’s say you are looking for “Romantic Wedding Flowers In Chicago”, search exactly that, find the pin, look into the text, and you will more than likely see the florists’ name and business attached. Follow the links to their website and head to their Inquiry page if you see something that you like!

HOW TO RESEARCH WEDDING FLOWERS AND FLORISTS USING INSTAGRAM

If you are a smartphone user, you are more than likely familiar with, have heard of, or even have an Instagram account of your own. This social media platform is incredible when it comes to researching wedding flowers and florists for upcoming weddings.

Like Pinterest, with simple keyword searches, you can get connected with floral designers all while seeing photos of their work for flower inspiration and proof of quality.

Instagram has come a long way with video technology. Wedding florists have taken advantage of this feature and actively create LIVE Q+A’s, Reels and montages, all to showcase their work and share their business with their ideal clients. This platform is easy to use and has a variety of selections to choose from for research which include tabs like “Top” for trending posts, “Account”, “Tags”, and “Places”. These are all relevant to weddings whether it’s wedding flower trends, businesses in the area you are looking for and Places like wedding venues that have tagged florists.

HOW TO RESEARCH WEDDING FLOWERS AND FLORISTS USING WORD OF MOUTH REFERRALS

The word of mouth referral system is powerful. Oftentimes I will go to a great restaurant because a friend has referred me to it. Or I will check out a cute coffee shop because I’ve heard that it has amazing matcha lattes and butter croissants. When it comes to researching flowers and florists for an upcoming wedding, the referral system is really no different.

Do you have friends or loved ones that are married? Did they love their wedding flowers? Are they in a location where you or your loved ones might be getting married? Start asking questions and inquire about the wedding florists they used for their wedding. If they had a wonderful experience, get in touch with the florist. If that florist is possibly booked, more than likely they will happily refer you to a florist friend that can still deliver that high-quality service!

The ways to research flowers and florists for an upcoming wedding are really not complicated, you just have to know where to look! Understanding the keywords you should be using in your searches and knowing the vision of the wedding, are probably two of the most important things needed before researching.

Thank you for explaining how it could be a good idea to ask around at restaurants or coffee shops that have floral displays. I hadn’t thought to ask around there to look for a florist to help with my wedding. I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled to see if I can do everything I can to find the perfect person to help with my wedding.
