The Lindley Scott House was the perfect venue for this intimate romantic garden rose wedding. Designing romantic garden rose weddings is one of our greatest joys. We simply love using beautiful garden roses in our wedding designs. When you pair together passionate designers with beautiful blooms, you get a stunning end product. We were so pleased with our designs and how they elevated this space.

By selecting a color palette that was charming and delightful, we were able to create designs that embodied romantic elegance. This wedding featured a blush palette with deep red, ivory, and lush greenery accents. This wedding turned out to be exactly what we hoped for, romantic and charming.

Known for its beautiful gardens, the Lindley Scott House venue is ideal for an intimate wedding or special occasion. Now over 100 years old, the venue was built back in 1911. Now coined as a historic home, the Lindley Scott House has expanded its property to now house a quaint Carriage House added on in 2003. Having housed hundreds of weddings and various celebrations, this venue holds a special place in the heart of many.

Walking through the property you will find a unique cypress tree in addition to a great big California Live Oak tree. The aesthetic that is created with the natural greenery and foliage is something you would picture in a romantic vintage film. It would be hard to miss the yellow shingling and green shutters that make up the structure of this quaint home.

This venue has a sure way of making you feel at home and at peace through its cheerful and charming environment. The grounds of the Lindley Scott House are well kept making the outside areas flawless for ceremonies. It has been such a joy working at this venue time and time again. If you have the chance to check out this venue for your next intimate event, we recommend it! This venue easily reminds of the quaint cottage home from the iconic movie “13 Going On 30”!

Romantic garden rose weddings are equally elegant as they are charming. As floral designers, we have such a fun time creating lovely designs filled with fresh garden roses.

When drafting up this wedding we opted to incorporate a combination of heights when it came to the reception design. You will notice we utilized both high and low floral centerpieces to add dimension and create depth within the space. We were so pleased with how lush these romantic centerpieces turned out. The gold compote paired together so nicely with our base of greenery, white hydrangeas, blush garden roses, and those added pops of deep red spray roses.

By using high and low centerpieces we were able to offer our clients a variety of different focal points and moments. Understanding the venue style and more specifically the ceiling heights and dimensions, we were able to create centerpieces that helped to fill the space.

It’s important that as floral designers we take the time to do walkthroughs before our client’s wedding day so that we are familiar with the venue. This alleviates any surprises and allows us to fully understand the environment, and how we will best execute our designs for that day.

It is so crucial to never walk into a venue for the first on a wedding day. Understanding the importance of a pre-wedding walk-through will save you time and stress when it comes to the day of installations. Pre-wedding walk-throughs allow you to map out your plan of attack and prepare any mechanics and extra materials needed.

When decorating a wedding cake, it’s ideal to include flowers that are highlighted in both the bridal bouquet and overall aesthetic.

This helps to blend the overall aesthetic creating a balanced flow from every corner.

This 4-tier wedding cake featured deep red romantic garden roses with pops of blush spray roses and added textures. This creates an elegant look that is clean, classic, yet still romantic. This day was sweet, lovely, and so very charming!
