Happy Belated Valentine’s Day! What better way to celebrate the month of love than to highlight a very special Wedding Anniversary! Our featured couple, Laurie & Christopher, will be celebrating 4 years of marriage this month! We want to wish them continued years love and happiness! This wedding featured delicate and dainty wedding florals set in a beautifully historic wedding venue! Dive in with us this week as we look back on their wonderful highlights from their beautiful wedding day! 

A Dreamy Wedding Venue

We love a great venue! If we can offer up any advice in relation to the venue selection process for your wedding, 1. Make sure you love it and 2. Make sure you can visualize your selected wedding style in that space. We love to stress the importance of creating a well balanced aesthetic and wedding vibe. From the smallest details to the largest, cohesiveness and balance is ALWAYS key. 

The wedding venue for this special day was such a dream! The Rancho Las Lomas located in Orange County is unique as it is carefully crafted and styled using recycled lumber, bricks, doors, stained glass windows and more! Surrounded by a combination of sycamore and oak trees, this venue makes you feel like you are in some kind of fairy tale.

It is so fun for us to be able to complement the selected venue spaces with floral arrangements that fit the vision of our bridal couple. For Laurie & Christopher we decided to utilize the structure of the building and play off of that with a romantic and fresh wedding arch. From the lush greenery to the spray roses, the architecture of this venue was the perfect base to build off of!  

Lush Florals & Dreamy Garland

Cozy, romantic and fresh. These words come to mind when we think back on the inside of the venue’s great room. There is something about dark wood beams and nicely painted white walls that says comfort and warmth. It was such a pleasure to be able to decorate and fill the room with fresh florals and lots of lush greenery to complete the space. This space had a nice variety of both round and rectangular dinner tables which afforded us the opportunity to incorporate long greenery filled garland and lush centerpieces.

Every table was decorated beautifully from the tea light candles, gold chargers, blush napkins and bountiful bloom filled centerpiece decor. The huckleberry and silver dollar eucalyptus shown helped to lay down a strong and lush foundation of greenery that easily complements the sweet akito roses, pink majolica spray roses and jasmine vines placed throughout.

To provide you with a little weekly floral education, check out the blooms used in this wedding bridal bouquet! Notice how the texture and the use of different shapes and bloom lengths adds such a nice variety to this bouquet. The huckleberry and silver dollar eucalyptus are great options for fresh greenery bouquet bases. From the cream spray roses to the patience garden roses, this bridal bouquet was light and fun! We loved adding in anemones as they are so striking and helped to add a nice and bold contrast to the collective color palette.
