She’s A Classy Kinda Gal

Can we just start by saying how gorgeous our bride Heather is? She and Alec were so sweet together and made such a beautiful couple! We were thrilled to be a part of their special day! Also, their venue… out of this world. The Pelican Hill Resort located in Newport Beach, CA is a total dream. Couples really elevate their wedding just by snagging this venue! The views overlooking the ocean set the perfect backdrop for a wedding ceremony. Every corner, walkway, garden area, lawn space, etc., is just perfect! We are so happy we were able to add some flavor and flare to this venue with the floral decor and arrangements! 

Now let’s talk about the bouquet!

She’s round. She’s bold. She’s classy!

This bouquet was so dreamy to create! It really set the tone for elegance. Round bouquets are forever and always going to be a bridal staple. They exude luxury, sophistication and class, perfect for that elegant bride! 

Deciding the right bouquet for you is very important. Your bridal bouquet should be complementary to your bridal ensemble/gown because HELLO… this is your most important bridal accessory! 

Your bouquet is going to be captured in your wedding photos, you’re holding it down the aisle, your maid of honor (or person of honor) is holding it for the entirety of your ceremony, you’re showing it off throughout the event, it’s so special and so important. We highly recommend that you take the time to figure out what you love, what you don’t love and what will go well with your bridal attire.

Try finding a bridal gown that is similar to yours and see the options they are paired with for bridal bouquets so that you can get a feel of what works well with your silhouette!

KEEP IT SIMPLE

When it comes to round style bridal bouquets, you will notice there’s not too much of a variety going on. Keeping it simple is key! This creates cohesiveness, balance and unity.

In this bouquet there are 3 different blooms that were used. 

1. Blush Japanese Ranunculus
2. White Japanese Ranunculus
3. Ivory Patience Garden Roses

We LOVE Japanese ranunculus. They’re lush, they’re rich, they’re luxurious! 

Finished with a satin ribbon and sparkling detailed brooch this bridal bouquet came together so beautifully! Notice how the blush Japanese ranunculus provides that soft pop of color as they are nicely balanced and intermixed throughout the bouquet. Blush, white and ivory piece together so nicely and this color palette provided some warmth and romance to this wonderful occasion! 

When it comes to the round bouquet, less is always more. You really cannot go wrong with a round bouquet we simply suggest to make sure your wedding aesthetic pieces together nicely. When you are in the midst of dreaming up your wedding flowers and bridal bouquet, take note of your venue, the season of your wedding, your color palette and your mood! This will help to ensure your decisions are seamlessly balanced and will also provide you with some important framework when you are ready to begin the conversation with your floral designer.
