I’m grateful that we get to come to this space and talk about love, happiness and some of the best days in our clients lives. Weddings are just full of life! They bring families together, they reunite old friends, they create new friendships and serve as a way for a group of people to simply come together all because of love. Our team is grateful that we get to share a glimpse of what we get to experience in our everyday lives working as floral designers. We are very excited to share with you this week a really stellar bridal bouquet that makes you feel light, airy and happy just by looking at it!

In this week’s Posh Peony Wedding Feature, we are talking all about a beautiful wedding that took place over in Silverado, CA. Our sweet couple tied the knot over at the Rancho Las Lomas Botanical Gardens. This venue is BEAUTIFUL!
Though we may be a little biased (since we are based here in California), we must admit you really cannot beat the weather here. Outdoor weddings are incredibly popular on the west coast! Ceremony settings with the sunny California sunshine are unmatched as the majority of times we never really have to worry about inclement weather conditions. It is both a blessing and a curse however, as the California summers can also be quite the scorcher!

This year is just continuing to fly by and we are blown away that September is already here! Fall wedding season is just around the corner and we cannot wait for all of the moody color palettes and romantic weddings! This week we are breaking down an elegant bridal bouquet! Filled with beautiful white florals, subtle accents, textures and pops of lush greenery, this bridal bouquet was light, bright and airy! Talk about a crisp and classic bridal bouquet.

Hand tied bouquets are something so special. We love that in the midst of the strategy of building these bouquets, there is freedom to play on natural movement of the blooms to provide more of an organic look. We oftentimes will utilize the technique known in the floral world as spiraling. This technique involves laying a bloom in your hand one stem at a time with the stems all in line while working to rotate the bunch with slow turns and rotations as each new bloom is added. It’s helpful to give these bouquets several rotations and looks from different angles to make sure you have a nice focal point, balance and body.
